Reception at Bessastaðir
I was recently invited to a reception with the Icelandic president, Guðni Th. Jóhannesson, celebrating a scholarship from the Leifur Eiríksson Foundation. I'm incredibly grateful for the honour and support the Foundation has shown me — and for the other scholarships that have supported my studies and research.
As the president said in his speech, education is the foundation of a prosperous life. I've been enormously privileged to receive a very good one, and I won't let it go to waste. In fact, you could say my life's goal is to eliminate waste.
